Over 36 million cyber attacks prevented and 160,000 visits to the #BoljiOnline platform

A1 Serbia Marks Safer Internet Day

According to research conducted by the Institute for Digital Communications, 60% of children in Serbia have experienced some form of digital violence, while one-third of adults have been targeted by cyberattacks. This is precisely why A1 Serbia, through its #BoljiOnline platform, is committed to educating users, raising awareness about digital safety, and protecting devices with advanced technological solutions.

Education: The Key to a Safer Internet

Psychologist Ana Mirković highlights that 17% of children report having no parental rules for internet use, while 19% have received guidance only on online shopping or social media communication. Encouragingly, 45% of children say they would follow online safety advice if they were informed about it.

To ensure parents and children have the right knowledge and skills for the online world, A1 Serbia continuously works on improving digital literacy across generations through the #BoljiOnline platform. So far, over 160,000 people have visited the portal boljionline.rs, where they can access more than 1,000 educational materials tailored for parents, teachers, teenagers, and influencers.

Supporting Young People and Promoting Responsible Influence

Recognizing the impact of digital creators on younger audiences, A1 Serbia launched the first-ever “School of Responsible Influence” as part of the #BoljiOnline platform. This initiative educates digital content creators on media literacy, the prevention of digital violence, and mental well-being in the digital space.

Shared Responsibility: The Role of Schools and Parents

Through its #BoljiOnline platform and outreach efforts, A1 Serbia has organized lectures in 80 schools across Serbia, reaching more than 10,000 students, 5,000 parents, and nearly 1,000 teachers. These educational sessions provide practical advice on protecting both children and adults in digital environments, along with teaching materials to support educators in their daily work.

Technological Protection and Cybersecurity Prevention

Beyond education, A1 Serbia actively works on securing its users’ digital safety. With the A1 Net Protect Max cybersecurity solution, the company has successfully prevented over 36 million cyberattacks, reaffirming its commitment to prioritizing user security.

“Safer Internet Day reminds us of the shared responsibility we all have in the digital world – from individuals to companies and institutions. A1 Serbia remains dedicated to improving digital literacy and security through education, technological solutions, and community empowerment. At the same time, we invite everyone to join us in fostering a responsible and safe online environment,” said Đorđe Vuksanović, Chief Transformation Officer at A1 Serbia.
