Free parking and charging stations for eco-friendly two-wheelers
A1 Serbia and Bikeep Media Network have installed free parking and charging stations for regular and electric bicycles and scooters at 12 key locations in Belgrade. These stations, which also serve as advertising spaces, offer free parking and charging for electric bicycles and scooters at 10 locations, while 2 stations are exclusively for scooter charging.
The stations are located near the Vuk Monument and busy urban spots such as Delta City Mall, Ušće Mall, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. While waiting for their batteries to charge, citizens can enjoy the A1 WiFi network. The complete list of parking and charging locations is easily accessible via the Bikeep app, which also guides users through simple station use.
“A1 Serbia is strategically committed to sustainability in its operations and local activities. In this case, we were happy to invest in a project that helps citizens and visitors of Belgrade use means of transportation that reduce traffic congestion and do not pollute the environment. Here, they can park their bicycles and scooters for free, charge them if they are electric, take a break, and use the WiFi network to get their work done and connect with others,” A1 Serbia stated.
This is the latest in a series of local initiatives contributing to environmental protection. As part of the “Grown Like Me” project, A1 has planted 10 urban gardens that reduce the impact of floods in cities across Serbia, and this autumn, they plan to plant 10 more.
