A1 Serbia launches #BoljiOnline platform for safer and more responsible technology use
A1 Serbia has introduced its #BoljiOnline platform to the public, designed to empower individuals of all generations with educational content and activities to use technology safely and responsibly. The #BoljiOnline platform provides concrete advice on online safety, offering content tailored to diverse target groups, including children, parents, educators, and social media influencers. A Call to Action for a Safer Digital World “Technology has the power to connect, inspire, and enhance our lives—but only if used responsibly,” stated Judit Albers, CEO of A1 Serbia. “With the #BoljiOnline platform, we’re not only sharing knowledge but engaging the entire community—educators, who we have also focused on in our previous campaign ‘Network of the Most Important Influencers,’ along with parents, young people, and digital content creators—in building a safer online space. In a world where people spend an average of over 6 hours online daily, our goal is to ensure everyone spends that time more safely and responsibly, and the #BoljiOnline platform offers users such support through quality educational and practical content.”
Support from the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, alongside the National Contact Center for Child Internet Safety, is committed to protecting children and youth from online threats and educating children, parents, and teachers on protective measures, responsible, and appropriate use of digital technologies. Their support for the #BoljiOnline platform highlights the importance of joint efforts from institutions, the private sector, and other stakeholders in creating a safe digital environment for the youngest internet users.
“In today’s digital world, it is essential to develop knowledge among children and parents about potential risks and protective measures, as prevention is the best shield against online dangers. Through joint efforts, we can build a safer digital world for children, and it’s important that the messages of such collaborative campaigns reach every child, parent, and teacher,” stated Emina Beković, Coordinator of the National Contact Center for Child Internet Safety.
Partnership with the Institute for Digital Communications “Research conducted among young people in Serbia* shows that over 57% of respondents believe they have full control over the content they post online, while nearly 60% think hate speech persists due to a lack of consequences. These findings clearly indicate the importance of digital literacy education,” said Ana Mirković, psychologist and CEO of the Institute for Digital Communications, a partner of A1 Serbia in content creation and activity implementation focused on youth and digital literacy. “The #BoljiOnline platform enables young people to develop digital skills through interactive content, becoming responsible internet users and contributing to a safer digital space.”
The #BoljiOnline platform is a key component of A1 Serbia’s ESG strategy, emphasizing ethical technology use, and social, and individual responsibility. Through this project, A1 further strengthens its longstanding efforts in digital literacy and cybersecurity, empowering all users to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. With resources available for all generations, the platform is a step toward creating a more positive and secure online environment for everyone.
